Join the  Animal Allies Academy, an engaging program designed for kids ages 6-9 & 10-13 who are eager to learn about life at an animal shelter! Kids that are enrolled in the Animal Allies Academy will meet on Saturdays from 10 am - 12 pm for 4-weeks. This program will be at the Fredericksburg SPCA where your child will get one-on-one interaction with animals!  Participants will discover the importance of animal care, shelter etiquette, and responsible pet ownership through hands-on experiences and interactive activities.

Throughout the program, kids will:

Explore Shelter Life: Get an insider’s view of daily operations at the shelter, including how animals are cared for and the roles various staff members play.

Learn Animal Etiquette: Understand how to interact safely and respectfully with animals, promoting compassion and empathy.

Hands-On Care: Participate in age-appropriate tasks, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection.

Fun Activities: Enjoy games, crafts, and educational sessions that reinforce lessons learned and celebrate the joy of working with animals.
