Calling all parents of animal-loving kids! Compassionate Care Camp is back!

Give your children a chance to get involved with all things animal this summer and learn how they can be animal advocates within the community!

The Fred SPCA Compassionate Care Camp is designed to provide your child with a better understanding of animal-related career fields, how to provide proper daily care for animals & what we do here at the Fredericksburg SPCA! With discussions about a large variety of animal-related topics, there is something for everyone! Not only is this an incredible experience for the animal-loving child in your life, but all monies raised through camp fees also go toward our life-saving mission. 

We will have week-long sessions, Monday through Friday, with two sessions.
Session A is from 9 am to 12 pm and Session B is from 1 pm to 4 pm, alternating age groups.
Both are hosted in person at the SPCA.

March 13th- March 17th  / Session A: ages 10-13 / Session B: ages 6-9

June 12th- June 16th / Session A: ages 10-13 / Session B: ages 6-9

June 19th- June 23rd / Session A: ages 6-9 / Session B: ages 10-13

June 26th- June 30th / Session A: ages 10-13 / Session B: ages 6-9

*July 3rd- July 7th / Session A: ages 6-9 / Session B: ages 10-13

July 10th- July 14th / Session A: ages 10-13 / Session B: ages 6-9

July 17th- July 21st / Session A: ages 6-9 / Session B: ages 10-13

July 31st- August 4th / Session A: ages 6-9 / Session B: ages 10-13

*Our facility will be closed Tuesday, July 4th, 2023.

Compassionate Care Camp Cancellation and Refund Policy: Camp participants requesting a refund and/or withdrawing from the program must contact the Fredericksburg SPCA Humane Education Department. Individuals requesting a cancellation must follow up their verbal request with a written cancellation and/or refund request and submit it to Fredericksburg SPCA, Humane Education Department prior to cancellation deadlines. Cancellation requests less than 14 days before the camp start date are eligible for a 50% refund. There are no refunds on cancellations less than one week (7 days) before the camp start date. There will be no refunds given to those who withdraw after the camp start date. There will be a 10% administrative fee charged on all refund requests falling within the cancellation deadlines.
